Our Father's day in Thailand isn't until November which really just means we are celebrating Father's Day twice right? It should be every day.
This week I was studying in Psalms and learned a great deal from the way we receive guidance from God. In Psalm 31:8 it reads: "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye."
At first I thought of the Illuminati when I was reading this, but once I got over that, I had the question, what does it mean, He will guide us with his eyes? I spent a few minutes pondering and I've come up with this:
God always knows what's going on. God has a vision for us. He's not kicking us around with his feet or controlling us with his hands. He's watching out for us, giving us opportunities to grow, feel his love, and make our own choices--waiting, hoping, even pleading that we will make the choice to follow and become like Him.
I know this church is true, and I am SO happy for all I have been able to learn since being out. Every day there's always something new. I know that God has a plan for us, and that the Savior is central to it all, and I know the Book of Mormon is a miracle given to us from the Lord by the work of His servant Joseph Smith. I am so happy to say those things and mean it.
